Miserable Monday? - Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013)

Who is having a miserable day today?
Well if so, I have the perfect solution to your misery  - Insidious: Chapter 2. This awesome modern horror will definitely boost the excitement within your day and will perfectly conclude your day!
WARNING - Please ensure you have seen Insidious (2010) before even attempting to watch Chapter 2, because if you do not watch the first film you will be confused and completely unaware of anything this is happening! Also, if you have not seen the first film, this review may contain spoilers of it! Be sure to check out my review of the first film! - http://horrorfilmz4you.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/insidious-2010-another-phenomenal.html
Insidious: Chapter 2 is a complete 'carry-on' from the previous film, and basically revolves around the fact that the Lambert family unfortunately still have strong links with the spirit world still contained within their family members.

From the beginning of the film, Renai Lambert (Rose Byrne) is interrogated by the police and a detective about numerous paranormal events within the Lambert household. In the midst of the interrogations, the Lambert family move to the old house of Lorraine Lambert (Barbara Hershey) to escape any type of paranormal events or any spirits that may still be attempting to strengthen their bonds with the poor members of the Lambert family. However, it is clear soon enough that the move does not benefit the Lambert's, as Renai in particular begins to be haunted by a mysterious women in white clothing who is spotted wandering around the house, appearing then disappearing, etc.
The move is also not beneficial for Josh Lambert (Patrick Wilson) though, as an evil influence, perhaps a spirit, seems to have been attached to him as he begins to behave very violently and unusually. Meanwhile, Lorraine Lambert seeks out Elise Rainier's (Lin Shaye) partners - Specs (Leigh Wannell) & Tucker (Angus Sampson) - in attempt to find answers to the strange activity within the family.
Again, please do not proceed in watching this epic horror movie until watching Chapter One, in which you will find a review for earlier in the post. This is the perfect film for a large amount of 'jump scares', and at the same time, and provides the sensation of being within a separate world full of scares, twists, surprises, and many moments of intense horror. The first Insidious (2010) is one of my favorite modern horrors (from 2000 on-wards), but I have to say, this is equally as good as the first in my opinion! However, unfortunately if you didn't really enjoy the first one, you may not particularly enjoy this one, as it is a continuation of where the last one ended.
Another thing you may consider to be a problem with this thrilling movie is that you may find it very confusing. I went to see it in the cinema, and I will admit right now, it took my a few hours to process exactly everyone that had happened.
Overall, despite the confusions, Insidious: Chapter 2 is a highly recommended horror film which definitely deserves a watch, as it will ensure to have an awesome but frightening experience within the world of the spirits immersed within Insidious.
