I began watching this film without expecting anything extremely good at all really. However, I had to watch it as one of my favourite fantasy tales when I was young was Hansel & Gretel. I was rather intrigued that a fantasy tale had been created into a gory thriller, and felt as though I had to see it. Not only does this film address the story,

Ouija (2014) - New Halloween Horror Preview
Today I'm going to compile a quick review on a horror which I am rather attracted to after watching several trailers. It has not released yet either in the UK or the US and the dates of release is as follows:
- USA - 24/10/2014
- UK - 31/10/2014
You guys might be thinking "Oh great, another ridiculous modern horror to exacerbate the horror genre!"

Elena - Chapter 2
How could this possibly have happened? This was the thought rampaging
around the insides of Malcolm's head as he glared at the rubble in shock. What
used to be the beautiful village of Bennanio was now complete rubble. The
little houses that Malcolm and Cindy would walk past on their way to the local
bar lay in large crumpled piles on the ground.
"This is a disaster!" exclaimed Cindy. "How could we
possibly have booked a holiday here? Surely this must have happened in the past
week or so" Malcolm mumbled in complete curiosity. Malcolm and Cindy both
quickly discussed whether this could perhaps have been some sort of earthquake
or a general planned demolition of the beautiful village.

My Bloody Valentine (3D) (2009) - Insane massacre!
(WARNING REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)
I have to say, for all of those who are huge fans of slasher horrors;
this by far is the best film for you! The gore starts from the moment the film
starts by covering the history of the massacre in the old coal mine ten years
ago, and throughout the film right until the end. If you are really that
interested in the gore itself more than the horror, then the 3D feature within
the film perfectly ensures that human eyes, hearts and other body parts coming
flying out of the screen towards you! The film is full of jump-scares, although
some are unfortunately unexpected. For the full horror experience, I recommend
that if you decide to watch this, ensure that you are shrouded in darkness! The
film itself is very eerie at points and I believe that this is down to the
character of 'the miner' and the spooky mines themselves.

The Omen (1976) - Don't mess with the Devil's child...
(WARNING REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)
I'll immediately give you some advice guys - don't watch the 2006 remake
of this classic. Whether you have seen the 1976 Omen or not, it will completely
ruin it. Never rely on remakes guys, as the majority of them destroy the old
classics. Well to be fair, one exception for my rule not to watch remakes is
the Evil Dead (2013) remake. However, apart from that epic film, you shouldn't really
consider watching remakes - especially if you lived through the 60's to the
year 2000, where horrors made then have now became legendary classics. My
opinion of The Omen (the 1976 version now guys) was that it was very different
and imaginative at the time it was made. I mean, for the devil to control the
body of Damien (Harvey Stephens) was a remarkable idea.

Friday The 13th (1980) - Massacre at Camp Crystal Lake
(WARNING REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)
Friday The 13th. A date to remember after this sublime classic was
produced. This is what allows us to claim that Friday The 13th is an unlucky
day because 13 is a supposed unlucky number! I could watch this any time of the
day, and any day of the week. Even though it was produced in 1980, it is a pure
classic and a unique symbol to the horror genre. In my opinion, it creates the
(now clichéd) idea - a group of teens hanging out by a local lake - soon to be
shredded or brutally murdered in any imaginable way by a psychotic murderer,
one by one.

Under The Flesh comic support
Although I am now too late in supporting the campaign to promote the awesome first issue, I would like to give a huge shout out to the Under The Flesh comic and a congratulations on their success on kick starter, after they have successfully achieved funds to print the first issue and create the art of the second issue. Under The Flesh is a very intriguing comic having a very interesting summary.
It is set two months later since Desolation Day, when an unknown male-specific virus ravaged the world, degenerating men into savage cannibals called “fleshers.” Ruben Lobos, is a short-tempered, genetically enhanced soldier, who’s clueless about his abilities since the pathogen struck at the same time of his experiment. He’s interestingly surrounded by a diverse cast of strong female characters in a dying world where women outlast men. That's the world of Under The Flesh.

Fantastic Horror Classic - The Thing (1982)
One of the greatest horror classics ever! I really enjoyed this awesome film. To have been made in 1982 I was very impressed by the quality in it, as I only seen this film about 5 years ago. I have grown up through the era of overpowered and needless CGI in most horrors, and tons of captured footage horrors. I'm telling you, this is a fantastic film, and if you haven't seen it, it's a classic that you can't pass bye. There was a remake for this classic in 2011 which I thought was decent, but you can't watch the remake if you haven't watching the older version, right?

Evil Dead (2013) - Another successful remake
Usually nowadays, the remakes of fantastic classic horrors seem to be getting worse, rather than better. In my opinion, all this is down to overpowered and needless CGI. However, I thought the remake of Evil Dead was very imaginative, and rather successful. After reading some reviews, I am rather inquisitive as to why a lot of people are giving it negative reviews. I thought it was fairly similar to The Cabin In The Woods (2012), as there were many fairly related moments and ideas such as the obvious - some friends hanging out in a cabin in the middle of the woods! Also, the 'dead' were awoken through some type of witchcraft by Eric reading the Book of The Dead and similarly in The Cabin In The Woods, Dana reads an old book found in the midst of some old relics, which awakens the dead.

Child's Play (1988) - Got to love Chucky!
I didn't watch this thriller until about 2009, and oh my I was amazed. To have been made in 1988, the film completely exceeded my expectations. Yeah it sounds pretty cool - a wicked little doll (good guy) following his plot to escape his plastic figure body and to take the soul of a poor innocent little child. Sounds pretty nasty too doesn't it? This film, in my opinion, is absolutely remarkable and is most definitely worth a watch! Guys if you haven't seen this film yet then wow, where have you been? What really impressed me was how incredible the voice for the evil little doll Chucky was played by Brad Dourif. His voice is perfect for the role of Chucky - very rough, and extremely nasty. It was very successful in portraying this very small doll into a powerful, frightening little character who you would not want to mess with!

My ghost/paranormal adventures on my holiday!
I would like to firstly apologise for any inconvenience I may have caused whilst I was away on my holiday in Italy. Since the date of my departure (28th June), I have not made a blog post and so I am going to make this as best as possible to make up for the time I was away. Also, I hope I have not lost the support from any of you guys because you provide me with sustained, awesome support which is still clear from my 4000 page views on this blog! So thanks a lot everyone!
Anyway, let me continue developing my blog by telling you about my fantastic, but in some cases spooky holiday and all the strange and if you like 'paranormal' events I believe I encountered. Aside the scary incidents I was involved in, some of the locations in the mountains I visited were beautiful! I was situated in an absolutely remarkable setting in the mountains named 'Boveglio' in the province of 'Lucca'.

Upcoming zombie horror preview! - Apocalypse (2015)
Don't you guys just love to chill out by settling down onto a cushion and watching an awesome, thrilling zombie movie? Well, I certainly do, and nothing can beat a fantastic zombie film. However, I am sometimes disappointed if I watch a zombie movie that lacks the quality and thrills that occupies the best, and well-known zombie horrors; ones that hit the highest rated horror films on IMDB.
This is why I am looking forward to Apocalypse (2015), which I believe, will be an absolutely exceptional horror. My reasons for this view, being that over 20 countries are involved with the filming of the movie, and it will be released roughly in Summer 2015, with the filming beginning this Summer (2014). It is being compiled merely by a large amount of horror fans worldwide, which brings me to one of my reasons for my excitement. There will be diversity within the film due to over 20 countries taking part in the filming, and it is not common for so much diversity in horrors.

Friday night special! - The Exorcism Of Emily Rose (2005)
WARNING! - If you were terrified of the original exorcist film in 1973, I highly recommend you to consider giving this a miss, because in my opinion it is much scarier than The Exorcist in 1973.
For a Friday night, this is the perfect film to give you a real horror experience. Also, without a doubt, you may wish to highly consider finding some pillows or quilts to hide from what you may see.
The Exorcism Of Emily Rose is a fantastic film basically similar to the plot of The Exorcist (1973), which contains moments of intense horror and very disturbing scenes!
The film was directed by Scott Derrickson, who also directed Sinister (2012). Therefore if you found Sinister scary I'm telling you, this will be very scary at points as well!

The Cabin In The Woods - Another wacky Wednesday?
Anyone had a really wacky Wednesday? Well if so, this is the perfect film to conclude your day! The Cabin In The Woods is a very gory, fast-paced film (towards the end), which contains a huge 'twist in the tale'. It is a remarkable, but rather insane film directed by Drew Goddard, which contains a huge twist at the midpoint within the film. I won't tell you what it is though obviously as it will merely ruin the film ha ha!
Basically, it is about a group of teenage friends, and some being couples, who head off for a weekend at an isolated cabin within the woods - hence the name 'The Cabin In The Woods'.

The Strangers (2008) - really, REALLY scary!!
Warning - this is a very, very scary film! If you are up for an extremely frightening movie tonight then you have come to the right place. The film is an impressive horror in my opinion, and is directed by Bryan Bertino.
The plot revolves around a couple - James Hoyt (Scott Speedman) and his beloved Kristen McKay (Liv Tyler) who, after returning from a wedding reception, spend some time at an isolated holiday house. Soon enough, late at night, the intense horror begins when the couple receive a knock on the door. From this moment, it is not long until they begin to be invaded by three mysterious strangers, whose faces are concealed behind masks.

Perfect horror for a Friday Night? - Sinister (2012)
It has to be Sinister, of 2012, possibly the scariest movie I have ever went to see in a cinema.
This film is a remarkable movie directed by Scott Derrickson which contains a few disturbing scenes, and displays great imaginative thoughts through the story-line and the frequently occurring jumps, and scares.

'Sinister' revolves around a writer named Ellison Oswalt (Ethan Hawke), who transports himself and his family to a horrific house which previously contained a disastrous crime, that his family secretly don't know about.
